Online Booking For DVC Resorts is Live
Online Booking For DVC Resorts is Live. The easy to use interface makes booking a vacation easy without having to work with a Cast Member.
Screens allow you to view 2 years worth of point as well so you know what you have available. There does not seem to be a way to adjust or cancel a reservation yet but hopefully soon those functions will go live.
For those members with points in more than one resort you can click the year link next to available points and see where your available points are allocated. This is a very helpful feature!

Saratoga Spring Resort and Spa
I have been able to vacation at every Disney Vacation Club resort with the exceptions of Allani and Grand Californian. When it comes to vacationing at Walt Disney World one resort stands out as our family favorite…. Saratoga Spring Resort and Spa.
This relaxed resort provides all the amenities, fantastic water and garden views plus the short boat ride or walk to Downtown Disney.
I read a lot of blogs and posts on forum sites and hear chatter about Bay Lake Tower or Beach Club Villas being the best. Both are nice but only if you like busy, hectic, always-on traffic and noise. When we vacation we prefer to relax, enjoy the pools and sometimes shop.
Saratoga Spring Resort and Spa has the best of these features all wrapped up in one place. With 2 feature pools and 3 quiet pools you can pick a busy or quiet place to swim. The fitness center is best on property in my view and the ability to book a tree house villa (by far my pick of accommodations!) SSR is a no brainer.
My teen age children prefer SSR because Downtown Disney is an entertainment venue just a short walk a way. The shoppers in my family like this location for the same reason but I love the massive layout with lots of walking trails, water features and gardens at every turn. I can get to someplace busy if I want but I can also feel like I have the resort to myself.
We own points at Saratoga Springs, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Bay Lake Tower and always book a stay in the new resorts but when I ask my kids where they prefer to stay its always Saratoga Spring.
The reason is simple, it feels like a vacation no matter what you prefer to do.

Villas in the works for Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney Vacation Club is developing an estimated 147 villas as part of the previously announced expansion of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Estimated to open in late 2013 near Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, the resort’s slated to become the 12th Disney Vacation Club property.
“We continually look for ways to expand Disney Vacation Club by creating resort experiences that our Members will love,” said Claire Bilby, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Vacation Club. “With the continued popularity of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we are thrilled to offer our Members and Guests a new resort option along the monorail beam with easy access to the Magic Kingdom Park, as well as a variety of shopping, dining and recreation experiences.”
Online Booking Coming January 2012!
Soon you’ll have the opportunity to make your Resort reservations online!
“In order to ensure a quality experience, online booking will begin to be introduced next month, starting on January 19. We’ll gradually increase the percentage of Members able to make online reservations each day.”
This much anticipated feature will soon be available. Many members will prefer to speak to a DVC cast member but others will appreciate the ability to book reservations themselves.
